Our works span light trails, festivals, art exhibitions, corporate projects, live music, advertising and everything in-between… all fused by our aim to push sound, light and creativity into new areas.


Who we’re looking to recruit

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a background/education in lighting tech / event production to join our Project Design Team.

The Role

This role will work very closely with our Senior Project Designer and broader Project Design Team to facilitate the technical development, preparation, and delivery of complex projects across the UK and around the world.

Where our Project Designers are responsible for the creative development and design of our projects, our Production Technician will be responsible for the technical development and delivery onsite.

Personality

Our work is often out of the ordinary and requires a teamwork driven, detail-oriented approach. You will have a positive attitude to the delivery of projects and be keen to work as part of a team, be extremely organised and hit deadlines.  You will be equally happy preparing projects in our warehouse or making the Project Design team’s dreams a reality in a muddy (but often beautiful) field.


Main Responsibilities

  • Onsite technical delivery of our installations
  • Collaborating and providing technical support for our Project Designers both in pre-production and on site
  • Assisting Project Designers with CAD plans as required
  • Building kit lists from CAD plans and formulating install plans
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager on all technical and production elements.
  • Programming and delivering installations on-site
  • Hitting all key milestones assigned by Operations Manager
  • Reporting to the Operations Manager on a daily basis to provide project updates and keeping project management system up to date.
  • Additional responsibilities and support of other roles as assigned by Managing Director from time to time

Essential Experience/Skills Required

  • Technical events experience
  • Technical lighting and pixel mapping knowledge
  • Managing teams on site
  • Producing event documentation
  • CAD Experience – preferably Vectorworks
  • Excellent time management skills and drive to undertake tasks to the best of your ability
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work in the UK
  • Full clean driving license & valid passport

Desirable Experience

  • Vectorworks
  • Adobe Suite – Specifically Premiere Pro & After Effects
  • Experience planning and delivering events
  • Arts based events experience.
  • Fabrication / Electronics knowledge
  • First Aid Training (if not training will be available)
  • IPAF and other tickets

Details & benefits

  • £25,000-30,000 per annum DOE
  • 35-hour week, with semi-flexible working hours working from our Portslade, Brighton warehouse/office
  • Due to the type of work evening and weekend work may be required on occasions for which TOIL is available
